So you are talking with a fellow scientist and he half-describes his idea or project. Then you ask things like “how does it work?”, “can I use it?”, “what are you going to do with it?”. All you get for answer is “No”, “I can’t say it yet”, “I don’t know if I can say it”.

Hey there, you are just facing many of the negative faces of the human being, not only of a scientist. Everybody has a brilliant idea that can’t be shared, and when you ask several years later, they still can’t share with you and they still didn’t do anything with it. It is cowardliness, selfishness, and shows a lack of trust.
